About

Live Art Farther by Joelle McTigue

My blog, Live Art Farther, covers art travel with a focus on contemporary art exhibitions, galleries, museums, and fairs worth traveling to.

I was a full-time traveler for several years. When I visited Montenegro, I fell in love with the country and have since made it my home base.

Born in New York and raised in the Caribbean, I received my BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. My work is a part of the Rubell Family Collection and The John Paul Getty III-founded Siena Art Institute Library Collection.

I’ve exhibited at Photo LA, PhotoIreland, the NFT Biennial, NFT NYC, NFTBerlin, and satellite events during Art Basel Miami Beach, Armory, Photo London, and NFT London.

Hope you enjoy my recommendations.

FAQs

Rarely. My blog is for places, artists, galleries, and things I love.

If I’m one of the artists in the show, I will add it to the Joelle McTigue category.

But most things on my blog aren’t about me.

You can visit my portfolio website to see my upcoming exhibitions and CV. http://joellemctigue.com

Yes.

I’m looking for guest posts about art travel, particularly art and culture city guides from locals or writers with a deep knowledge of the city’s art scene.

General city guides with helpful tips about how to plan transportation, where to stay, and what to know before arriving are also welcome.

Go to the blog’s content to confirm your article will be a good fit before submitting in the contact form.

Yes. I only recommend products and services that I use or would myself. All opinions expressed are my own. The posts may contain affiliate links at no additional cost to you. Products in the shop that link externally may also be affiliate links. I may earn a small commission from the brand for these links.

Currently I do not stock items. The shop includes my art, collaborations, and things I like that are available on other websites.
